Tsukino-Con 2013 Talent Show
Think you have the talent? Then show us as you compete for fame and fabulous prizes. For those who would rather keep their awesome super powers to themselves, come to cheer for your buddies. Join us at The Tsukino-con 2013 Talent Show!
The talent show will consist of two parts; the preliminary round and the final competition. Each talent will be judged not on what the talent is, but the quality of the talent itself. The talent must be connected to the convention and the Otaku culture in some form.
For the Contestants
- Sign up will happen in the preliminary round.
- If you have music you must bring it with you on either a CD or USB stick.
- If you are singing with music we would like to remind you to just use it to add to your voice; don't let it take over and carry you through your piece.
- Each talent may be up to five minutes but no longer.
- We do not allow any talents to be vulgar or disruptive, and all must follow the general rules of Tsukino-con.
- No props will be provided and no props are to be thrown to the audience.
- Your talent must be tied in some way or form to the Otaku culture and/or convention.
- The host will judge your talent in the preliminaries and see if your talent is fit to fight.
- Once you have passed the preliminaries you will get a number and move on to the final competition. There you will preform your talent again for the guest judges and scored for your final outcome.
The Preliminary Round
- Each contestant will preform for the host to see if the talent is acceptable for competition.
- This round will also be to eliminate those looking for their quick 'five seconds of fame'.
- The talent may not be vulgar or disruptive and must fit the code of conduct for the convention.
- Each person who passes will be given a number and move onto the final competition.
Final Competition
- The contestants will perform for the judges by number.
- After each performance the judges will give some constructive criticizim and write down their scores; they will not be shown.
- Once everyone has performed the judges and host will leave and tally the scores; the host will break any ties.
- The host and Judges will return and announce the final 3 scores, declare the winner, and hand out prizes.
